4.1) Reason for obtaining a firearm license: I want to obtain the firearm license mainly because of my job. I sometimes work in daytime and sometimes in the night. You may think there aren't any dangers involved with the job of a car mechanic, but there are. Many people who make the emergency calls are imposters. They just aim a weapon at you and try to squeeze you for every penny that you have. I have tried carrying a baseball bat with me, but that is no opponent for a weapon. The second reason for me applying for the license is that I have some friends in some areas where gangs are hanging out. The LSPD and the SASD are doing a great job putting them out of business, but some of them still exist and when they attack the Police may not always be around and I am not always able to call them. I have been beaten up several times for not being from Spanish origin. I have been a law abiding citizen all my life. I don't even have a parking or speeding ticket. I would like you to grant me this license for protecting myself against felons that try to rob me during my work hours and other ones that try to take advatage of my during my free time.
